Emory in the movies!

No, I am not talking about Into the Wild or the scene in Road Trip where the quad is supposed to be UT: Austin's. I am talking about the upcoming film adaptation of Deborah Lipstadt's History on Trial. Lipstadt, a Jewish Studies professor at Emory, had to go on trial to defend her claims that David Irving is a liar for denying the Holocaust. (Europe you are pretty cool but that kind of libel law is not cool). Anyway, she won! Cinemtical suggests a scholarly Emma Thompson play the role of Lipstadt, but may I offer a few suggestions?
  • Lipstadt must outrun Nazis in a 1930s style motorcycle double seater by driving through the DUC in an ode to Indiana Jones III/IV.
  • Lipstadt be played by Sarah Silverman. Hilarity and inappropriate Holocaust jokes ensue.
  • Lipstadt throws Irving from the top floor of the Woodruff Library Vertigo-style.
  • Lipstadt stands outside Harris dormitories and yells, "Cowards!"
  • Lipstadt is a cantankerous professor who has a heart attack and dates a former student who is now an ER doctor. And her daughter is totally a Young Republican and has a loser brother played by Thomas Haden Church. It will be called The Problems of White People.

hahaha.

suggestion: in a crazy twist ending dooley's true identity is revealed to be that of...THE SKELETON OF DEBORAH LIPSTADT.

How about Lipstadt spends the entire movie trying to find Means and Trimble but can't because they no longer exist and then she gets lost inside Callaway and dies - but thanks to TIME TRAVEL her skeleton travels back in time and becomes the Dooley Skeleton. Now she can finally visit Means and Trimble, but oh wait, she is just a dead skeleton! IRONY.

I meant to say she gets stuck on the 2.5 floor in-between-floors of White Hall. It's a deathtrap down there.

or while looking for means and trimble lipstadt somehow ends up in rich, and decides to take her own life rather than experience that ugly fucking building....then she comes back as dooley.

Or she falls through a mold and asbestos ridden wall in Turman and discovers a magical alternate reality.
