The Simpsons officially out of ideas?

In tonight's episode, Lisa discovers she has a natural talent for ballet. But just a few seasons ago, she was so poor at tap dance that she couldn't appear in a show involving Martians (and featuring Ralph Wiggum). I have to imagine if one could do ballet they would be at least coordinated enough to be in a children's tap production. The show seems to be getting more misses than hits every season.

-The Incredible Hulk looks completely unnecessary. At least wait a decade befre you "reboot" a franchise. I thought Ang Lee's film was ambitious but seriously flawed. Still, not Batman and Robin terrible. The (new) Incredible Hulk features nothing worth getting excited about. In fact, it looks pretty rediculous (the villian may possibly be worse than The Hulk's giant poodle). Erica Bana >> Edward Norton.
-The full trailer to Wall-E outlines more of the plot. Also, his love interest is shown, which is a combination of an apple product and electronic stock ticker. Still looks to be one of the best movies this year.
-The full trailer for Speed Racer improves upon the teaser, which was campy in a bad way. And Matthew Fox as Racer X pwns.

A Couple of Things I Noticed While Watching The Daily Show

-John Hodgeman, Mr. "I am a PC," was seen on The Daily Show using an iPhone. Will this ruin his PC cred?



-There is a cheetos commercial, where a woman is sitting next to a man who is snoaring, and she sticks two cheetos into his nose. At the bottom of the screen it says, "Stunt Nose on Controlled Set"

Subtle Arrested Development Joke I Discovered: Part I

In the episode Fakin' It, there is a flashback where Lucille is describing George Sr.'s plans to go visit Iraq. Buster is pretending to sleep while she tells him this and Lucille yells "Faker!"
The next episode (Righteous Brothers?) has Buster faking a coma and falling in love with the red headed nurse, who also appeared in a previous episode with Tony Hale in the WWII film making fun of Britishisms. Anyway, Buster reveals he was faking the coma and the red-headed nurse yells "Faker!" which she had done to previous patients she fell in love with (even the one patient where "it was love that made him walk"

Trailer News

-Iron man is shaping to be the coolest superhero movie in a while. R.D.Jr. is perfect for that role.
-The Happening. For reals M.Night? First, overly pretentious title. Second, Mark Whalberg starring with his eyes darting for 6 seconds in the trailer. Third, The Signal has already done it. Finally, basing a movie around Colony Collapse Syndrome? Come on, are you really out of ideas? Give up the grandiose concepts and just do another Hitchcock/Twilight Zone clone. The Village was great, it didn't need a twist ending. Ohswells.
-Get Smart, great idea for a remake, hope it is good.
-The Love Guru, should have gone ahead and done another Austin Powers instead of creating a substandard clone of Austin Powers. And Jessica Alba? Why? I know why that was rhetorical.
-The Ruins, super depressing and disgusting book. As a movie, it seems silly. Not so sure which direction they are taking it. I will be impressed if the ending is kept in tact.
-Doomsday, bad 28 Weeks Later/Mad Max clone?

Finally
Indiana Jones and the Island of the Glass Temple: Looks great. I am excited, and I don't particularly like that series. The hype is palpable.

Vote for Hillary

I know it is too late, but I am starting to like Hillary more and more. Not for policy reasons or her personally but the media is telling me to like her! And it is working! Two weeks in a row SNL has been backing Hillary. They may have had me with Tina Fey's monologue. Now, Jack Nicholson is throwing his support behind her. Everyone assumed Obama had the media lead with Obamagirl and will.i.am's embarrassing stump-speech-as-poetry youtube video, but Hillary is obliterating them ( Jack Nicholson + Tina Fey >>> scarlett johansson + the black eyed peas). Maybe cause now she is the underdog? Anywho, it looks like Hill-Dawg is gonna at least win the media war.



Either way, Democrats win big time in this primary. Lets pity the Republicans in our time of celebration.
