- I appreciate how in film and television to quickly establish a character as a DB the character declaritvely announces they are Dane Cook fans. I guess Nickelback fan would also work.
- Andrea Bocelli's Time to Say Goodbye is the go to song for operatic cheese played for comedy as seen in both Step Brothers and the last movie I saw: Wanted. I know I have seen this ploy used a few other times. I wonder who was the first? Too bad, still a pleasant song that never reached Celine Dione Titanic levels of irritation for me.
- In unrelated news, the too soon joke was used in my favorite podcast The Bugle by John Oliver and Andy Zaltzman. It was used referring to a joke about Paul Newman's hard boiled egg eating scene in Cool Hand Luke.
Yes, I watched it.
