Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Did Speilberg get this from the George Lucas Attack of the Clones School of Poor Movie Titles? It makes me think of Dark Crystal and The Phantom, not sure why the last one. I am sure there was a crystal skull or something in that.
