I agree with all the ones I have seen, except I might put Pan's Labyrinth above The Departed - but it's definitely a close call. I would also suggest Thank You For Smoking, Half Nelson, and Brick. (Yeah, I cheated and looked on metacritic...)
Too bad animation sucked in 2006.
I wasn't a big Thank You For Smoking Fan. Half Nelson would have probably made it, as would Babel, but I felt 8 months after the year ended I needed to do the list.
Animation sucked big time. When the Oscar winner is Monster House (or was it Happy Feet?), you know you are in trouble.
Damn you Cars!
Okay, so I saw Happy Feet on a plane, and I have to say, I was so totally lost. What on earth was that movie about?
