Aaron Eckhart

Is it just me or does Aaron Eckhart have the Jim-Office hair in that new restaurant movie? I would do a side-by side comparison but my blogger skills aren't that 1337 yet. Cooking and robots are totally the new hotness says Pixar.

I have lost title posting functionality. Oh well, just wanted to post about my love of all things Steam Punk. BTW, robots, specifically steam punk style robots, are the new hotness.

I espcially like the title on that article.

Top 3 Coolest Steam Punk movies

1. Metropolis
2. Steamboy (hated the movie though)
3. Wild Wild West with Will Smith :) I think that counts

The game BioShock http://www.2kgames.com/bioshock/ is probably the coolest example.

Jesus Phone

So I drove by a church with a very Simpsons-esque sign, "When God calls on your iPhone." What does this mean? Is this a sly reference to the iPhone as the Jesus Phone? Is it a commentary on consumerism? Are they giving free iPhones to new recruits? Where do I sign up?
Also, I was listening to 99x and one of the hosts was on a preachy rant about how disgusting eating competitions are when 1/3rd of the world is malnurished. How much energy do you think it takes to cool a honkey rink? Or how many millions are poured into guys who tackle the guy directly in front of them, again and again and again and again. In conclusion, all sports are a waste when we should be thinking about the less fortunate...

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaalllll-E

Saw Ratatouille yesterday, another excellent Pixarian film (good to see them back in form after the mediocre Cars. Why did you have to ruin their perfect streak John Lassetter, why!?!). Anywho, before the trailer there is a short teaser for Wall-E, which got me really excited because a.) it plays the score from Brazil b.) it is a robot finding love (A.I.'s DAVID!) c.) it's about consumerism destroying the planet. Sounds really depressing! Can't wait! Anyway, here is a list of my fav. trailers of all time.
1.) Vanilla Sky
2.) The Fountain - teaser
3.) The Two Towers - teaser trailer with Clint Mansell's Requiem for a Dream score
4.) Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith - "Every last Jedi is an enemy of the Republic ... Do what must be done!"
5.) Sin City

Oh yeah, They Might Be Giants' Build a Birdhouse in your Soul beats out Avril on my previous post.
